On April 16, 2024, 34-year-old Jade Marie Sales was inside her home in Mocksville, North Carolina, when an argument with her husband reportedly turned deadly.
According to investigators, Jade’s 18-year-old daughter heard the confrontation and witnessed her father, Dennis Jerome Sales, physically attacking her mother before shooting her multiple times.
Jade died inside the family home.

She then called 911 for help while her mother lay nearby.

The Suspect Fled
After the shooting, Dennis Sales reportedly left the home.
Authorities later captured him in Tennessee and brought him back to face the charges.
He eventually pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 38 to 46 years in prison, according to the information provided.
