Authorities arrested 33-year-old Jorlan Alves da Silva<\/strong>, also reported as Jorlan Lopes da Silva, in Mulungu, Para\u00edba, after an operation lasting roughly 48 hours. Police say he had been trying to avoid identification while wearing women’s clothing and carrying a young child.<\/p>\n According to police reports, the suspect was wearing a dress, wig, women’s sandals, dark glasses and painted nails.<\/p>\n He was also carrying a child estimated to be about two years old. Authorities said the child was not related to him and was later given medical attention. The circumstances of how the child came into his care remain under investigation.<\/p>\n But investigators eventually noticed something that exposed his identity.<\/p>\n A tattoo became visible beneath the clothing.<\/strong><\/p>\n That detail reportedly helped police recognize him and make the arrest.<\/p>\n Authorities are investigating Silva in connection with 16 killings over roughly three months<\/strong>.
