The multi-artist show was held October 31 at Benchmark International Arena and advertised Kodak alongside Kevin Gates, Meek Mill, DaBaby, BossMan Dlow, Boston Richey and several other performers. Doors were scheduled to open at 6 p.m., with the overall concert advertised for a 7 p.m. start.

Videos posted by people inside the arena show Kodak taking the stage in a purple-and-red outfit and performing before the music and microphone were eventually stopped. Several attendees claimed he arrived late and only got through about three songs before promoters ended his portion of the show. In one of the most circulated moments, Kodak could be seen lying flat on the stage after the sound was cut, while people in the audience reacted to the abrupt ending. As of Sunday, organizers had not publicly explained why his microphone was shut off or confirmed whether the short set resulted from Kodak’s arrival time, a curfew, scheduling problems or another issue.

There is some disagreement over exactly how many songs Kodak performed. Fans on social media described the set as roughly three songs, while current concert-setlist records list five tracks — “Versatile,” “Skrilla,” “ZEZE,” “Roll in Peace” and “Skrt.” The same tracker places Kodak’s performance at approximately 12:20 a.m. to 12:35 a.m., a total of only about 15 minutes. Live Nation’s listing also currently shows those same five songs.

That timing became a major part of the online frustration. Although Nightmare on Channelside was a large multi-artist event rather than a solo Kodak concert, fans had waited hours to see one of the night’s biggest advertised names. The official event page promoted Kodak as one of the featured performers at the 21,500-capacity arena, while tickets had been advertised for more than $70 in the days leading up to the show.

Some fans appeared to expect trouble before Kodak even touched the stage. Under an Instagram post promoting the Tampa concert a day earlier, one commenter complained about changes to the lineup and predicted Kodak would show up late and leave early. That comment took on new life after clips from Saturday night began circulating.

The Tampa complaints also are not happening in isolation. Earlier this year, videos from multiple Kodak Black shows sparked similar criticism from concertgoers who complained about late starts, short performances and what they felt was limited engagement from the rapper. In March, social-media clips from his tour led some fans to openly call for refunds. At the time, Kodak had not publicly responded to the broader criticism surrounding those shows.

Reviews attached to Kodak’s Ticketmaster page show similarly mixed experiences. The page currently carries a 2.8-out-of-5 rating from more than 200 reviews. One 2026 reviewer complained that he arrived around three hours late and “barely” performed, while another attendee described Kodak arriving near midnight, staying onstage around 45 minutes and performing only portions of his lyrics before eventually walking off. Other fans, however, have given his shows positive reviews, including one October reviewer who called the experience “amazing” and praised Kodak for engaging with the audience.

Similar concerns have followed Kodak for years. During his 2024 Rolling Loud Miami appearance, social-media users complained that he arrived late and spent part of the performance wandering the stage while backing tracks played, leading some fans to express concern rather than simply criticize the quality of the show. In 2017, he also famously left a Wild ’N Out concert after roughly three songs, later arguing that he had actually been contracted to perform only one song and that promoters had breached their agreement by leaking his surprise appearance.

That history is why Saturday’s Tampa performance quickly became a larger conversation than one short Halloween set. Fans who paid to see Kodak argued that an artist with a catalog that includes “No Flockin,” “Tunnel Vision,” “Super Gremlin,” “ZEZE,” “Roll in Peace” and numerous other hits should be capable of delivering a much longer performance. Others pointed out that this was a crowded festival-style bill with many performers and questioned whether the promoters’ schedule left enough time for every advertised artist.

The event itself had already gone through lineup changes before Halloween night. Early advertising included 21 Savage, while more recent promotional material shifted toward Kodak Black and Kevin Gates as the featured acts. Creative Loafing Tampa reported that the concert was booked by an independent promoter taking on one of Tampa’s largest venues, while the event’s official website listed more than a dozen national and local performers.

Neither Kodak Black nor the Nightmare on Channelside organizers had publicly provided a detailed explanation for the shortened performance as of Sunday. Until that happens, one point remains disputed: fans say promoters cut Kodak off because he arrived too late, while publicly available setlist information confirms only that his appearance was unusually brief — roughly 15 minutes — and ended after about five listed songs.

For many fans leaving the arena, however, the technical distinction between three songs and five was not the main issue. They had waited most of the night to see Kodak Black, only for one of the event’s biggest names to appear for a matter of minutes before the music stopped and he ended up lying on the stage

Kodak Black Leaves Fans Disappointed After Reportedly Showing Up Late & Performing Only A Few Songs Before His Set Was Cut Short — Rapper Then Lays Down Onstage Kodak Black is facing another round of criticism over his live performances after concertgoers say the Florida rapper delivered an extremely short set at Tampa’s Nightmare on…

[1

post-2008","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
