Scans revealed that the 30-year-old father had a grade 4 glioblastoma<\/strong>, an aggressive type of brain tumor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Robbie underwent brain surgery, and surgeons were able to remove around 96 percent of the tumor mass<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He is now undergoing maintenance chemotherapy while continuing to face the difficult reality of his diagnosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Glioblastoma can be extremely difficult to treat, and typical survival is often measured in months rather than many years. However, every person’s situation is different, and statistics cannot predict exactly how long an individual will live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite everything he has been told, Robbie has refused to let the diagnosis take away his hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He has even returned to work on a phased basis and has retained his speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Robbie and his fianc\u00e9e, Lauren, have been together since meeting at a recruitment agency six years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Together, they are raising their two young daughters, Piper, three, and 13-month-old Primrose.
