A straphanger was killed in a freak accident when his backpack got caught in the subway door during rush hour Monday night \u2014 and he fell onto the tracks, according to police.<\/p>\n

The unidentified man was exiting a northbound train at the Utica Avenue station in Brooklyn around 5:50 p.m. when witnesses said his bag got trapped in the doors as the train started to pull away.<\/p>\n

He was dragged by the train and eventually fell between cars onto the tracks, police said.<\/p>\n
