Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry is suing the Miss Universe organization over a brutal stage fall that left her with a severe brain injury, saying the incident \u201cpermanently altered the course of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Henry, a doctor, filed the lawsuit Monday in Delaware Superior Court, nearly a year after she plunged through an opening in the stage during the Miss Universe preliminary rounds in Thailand.<\/p>\n

Henry was walking across the stage when she was blinded by the \u201cintense lighting\u201d and fell into an \u201cunmarked and uncovered opening in the stage\u201d about five feet deep in November 2025, according to the lawsuit obtained by People.<\/p>\n

The opening contained concrete and lighting equipment, and the fall left Henry unconscious with a traumatic brain injury, including multiple brain bleeds, according to the suit.<\/p>\n
