Influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo Dies After Cosmetic Procedure in Thailand — Then His Final Farewell Shocked People
British-Nigerian businessman and influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo died at the age of 43 after suffering a fatal complication following a cosmetic procedure in Bangkok, Thailand. A London coroner later ruled that his death was caused by a pulmonary embolism associated with a hyaluronic-acid injection used during the procedure.
A Procedure That Ended in Tragedy
Ubiribo was in Thailand with his wife when he underwent the procedure on March 5, 2026.
According to evidence reported from the inquest, the treatment involved approximately 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid. The clinic later told Thai authorities that it had treated Ubiribo five times since 2024, with the final treatment being his fifth.
Afterward, he reportedly developed chest pain and collapsed.
He was taken to a Bangkok hospital, where doctors suspected a pulmonary embolism. Medical staff attempted resuscitation for more than 100 minutes, but he died in the early hours of March 6.
What Did the Coroner Find?
A post-mortem examination and toxicology investigation concluded that the hyaluronic acid injection was associated with the fatal pulmonary embolism.
The finding has since prompted Thai authorities to investigate the clinic, including whether it was properly licensed and whether required health and safety procedures were followed.
Authorities have not publicly announced a finding of professional misconduct or malpractice against the clinic.
His Funeral Had Another Surprise
Months after his death, Ubiribo was laid to rest in London.
Reports said his funeral featured an extravagant gold coffin reportedly valued at around $745,000, adding another extraordinary detail to a story that had already attracted widespread attention.
His funeral was attended by friends and figures from Nigerian entertainment and social circles.

Ubiribo’s death has drawn attention not only because of the unusual circumstances, but also because of the investigation now surrounding the Bangkok clinic.
