Passengers Flee Smoking Airliner as Emergency Slides Deploy on Airport Tarmac
A video captures frightening moments after an airplane is evacuated on an airport tarmac, with thick gray smoke pouring from beneath one of its wings.
The aircraft sits beneath an overcast sky as passengers rapidly leave through an emergency exit. An inflatable evacuation slide is deployed, allowing people to escape one after another.
As each passenger reaches the ground, they quickly move away from the aircraft. One young man wearing a backpack scrambles to his feet and immediately runs across the concrete. Other passengers rush away while carrying belongings.
