Coleen Rooney recreates Dirty Dancing lift with husband Wayne as they show off their playful sides at his 40th birthday party while pals gush ‘they were like two teenagers in love’
Coleen and Wayne Rooney hilariously recreated the iconic Dirty Dancing lift in their new Disney+ docuseries, The Real Rooneys.
The WAG let the cameras into the pundit’s surprise 40th birthday in the Cotswolds with their friends and family last October.
The couple, who have been married for 18 years, showed off their playful sides as they enjoyed karaoke and danced the night away.
I don’t think Wayne would be Wayne if he didn’t do Karaoke,’ Coleen quipped.
The couple couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they showed off their close bond, before Coleen jumped into Wayne’s arms.
Coleen’s friend and wife of former Manchester United player Darron Gibson, Danielle, gushed over the couple’s relationship during their weekend away.
‘They were like two teenagers in love,’ she said. ‘It’s in those moments you think “That’s why they are together”.’

Coleen added: ‘The whole weekend everyone was just relaxed and happy, just enjoying it which is everything I wanted.’
‘For three days we just switched off and had a good time, she done really well and more than I expected for my 40th,’ Wayne sweetly said.
The couple invited the cameras into their home for a year to document the highs and lows of their marriage, family life and work endeavours, with Coleen promising to show a side of themselves the public have never seen.
And in one of the low points documented of their relationship, Coleen was furious with her husband after he left her to deal with their four sons while he nursed a hangover from a wild night out.
The couple were away with their children Kai, 16, Klay, 13, Kit, ten, and Cass, eight, and Coleen’s parents Tony and Colette, when what started as a family dinner out ‘turned into a lads’ night out’, as Coleen explained.
‘We’re all entitled to have nights out, but do it in the right way,’ an exasperated Coleen told the cameras as she prepared breakfast for her brood while Wayne slept in.
‘I could come in at 3 o’clock in the morning but I’d still get up and function the next day!’
Coleen continued: ‘Today’s going to be hard. A full day at the beach with four boys and an exhausted husband. What could go wrong?’
Picking up on the tension between her daughter and Wayne, Colette mused: ‘When you’re a footballer you’re never really at home seven days a week.
‘So it must be hard for Wayne, when you haven’t lived at home with your family all them years. But when your husband’s back, you want him to share the load.’
Coleen then confirmed: ‘We’re not really on good terms at the minute… Today’s been a good day but Wayne hasn’t been able to help out much.’
